How to play

Weapons fire automatically. Collect experience shards and choose an upgrade at each level. Survive until dawn, and watch for horde surges.

Weapon fusion. Raise both weapons in a recipe to level 8. Each treasure chest has a 50% chance to fuse a ready pair, consuming both weapons and freeing a slot.

Shrines are optional. Blood oaths trade armor for damage. Sealed oaths summon a guardian. Defeat it for a treasure chest.

Gear. Press C or open Character equipment to see your eight slots. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary gear adds stats only. The shop sells only gear, and chests have a 25% chance to contain an extra item. Compare before equipping. No bag; swapping discards the old item. Gear resets on a new run.

Spend your gold. The Night merchant arrives at 1:00, then every two minutes. Follow the stall marker and trade before the 45-second visit ends. Browsing pauses combat and the timer. Buying equips immediately. Buy each offer once, then leave to resume.

Read the minimap. North stays up. The bone-white dagger is you, blood marks are enemies, horned marks are elites and skulls are bosses. The faint stitched outline shows your camera area. The map reaches 96 world units around you. Chests, altar crosses and merchant stalls mark objectives; claw marks highlight the tracked destination. Hollow markers with outward pointers are beyond the map's range. Follow the trail and distance below the map, or the edge arrow to the nearest off-screen objective. Gold coins are separate from experience shards.
